The story
behind the meme.

PANCHU began as a show of solidarity with Panchu, an Indian builder targeted by racist abuse around Arc’s mainnet launch.

Panchu Vijay Pal, a co-founder of XyloNet, appeared in the developer pre-show for Arc’s launch on September 16, 2026. As clips spread across crypto Twitter, some users attacked his Indian identity and directed racist insults at Indians.

Builders and community members spoke up. We created PANCHU as a community meme to stand with him and reject that racism. The message is simple: where you come from should never make you a target.

That is the heart of this meme: solidarity with Panchu, respect for Indian builders, and a community where people from every background belong.

A note on independence

PANCHU was created independently by the community. Panchu2605 did not create the token and has said he returned his allocation. This site does not represent him, Arc, Circle, or XyloNet.
